€30 Million-Rated AC Milan Defender’s Agent Trying To Engineer Move To Real Madrid
Eder Militao’s unfortunate and untimely injury has given way to speculations about Real Madrid entering the market for a new centre-back.
While earlier it was suggested that the team from the Spanish capital would not sign a new centre-back as a replacement, new market opportunities have opened up in the last few hours.
Indeed, Tomas Gonzalez-Martin writes for El Debate that Milan defender Malick Thiaw has suddenly been available to Madrid.
The journalist writes that the agent of the 22-year-old defender is trying to see if Madrid can sign the player this summer considering the fact that he would not be expensive.
In fact, a report from Calciomercato has claimed while Milan consider him untouchable, a fee in the region of €30 million would do the trick.
Who is Malick Thiaw?
The name Malick Thiaw might not ring a lot of bells, but the 22-year-old does possess some extraordinary qualities.
Having come through the youth academy of Schalke, Thiaw moved to Milan in the previous summer for a fee believed to be around €5 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

Standing at 6 ft, 4 in tall, the youngster took his time to settle into the new environment but he was at his best in his full UEFA Champions League debut at home when Milan took on Tottenham in the first leg of the Round of 16 clash last season.
He did play just 24 games for Milan last season but ended his campaign with 3.26 aerials wins per 90 minutes and 4.77 clearances per game.
What is Real Madrid’s plan?
Real Madrid are largely expected to stay quiet for the rest of the transfer window.
The potential return of Sergio Ramos was thought to be on the cards, but those close to the club have played down the rumours of the legend’s return.
As a result, the manager is likely to count on young talents from Castilla and names such as Alvaro Carrillo and Rafel Obrador have been doing rounds lately.
As such, the options Madrid have at the moment should be more than enough to cover the position until Militao returns, with Antonio Rudiger and Nacho also waiting in the wings.
