Crystal Palace are considering making a £10 million bid for Che Adams.

That’s according to the Evening Standard, who have reported that Everton could face tough competition for the Southampton striker.

Adams – has scored twice in as many games in the Championship so far – only has a year left on his contract following the club’s relegation.

The ‘clever’ 27-year-old netted 10 goals in all competitions for the Saints last season and has now attracted huge interest from Premier League clubs, with the Toffees already heavy linked with a move for the forward.
However, Crystal Palace could beat them to his signature if they go ahead with their bid. The Eagles are looking to replace Wilfried Zaha this summer but are still considering other options, while they are also waiting to see if they make a substantial profit on Michael Olise’s potential departure.

Everton are yet to make an offer for Adams, who has already been the subject of a rejected bid from Bournemouth earlier this month.
The Toffees are desperate to add to their attack this summer and have already welcomed Jack Harrison, Youssef Chermiti and Arnaut Danjuma to Merseyside, however they are yet to bring in an experienced and proven striker.

Will Crystal Palace force Everton’s hand in Che Adams pursuit?
While Bournemouth have already bid for Che Adams, a further offer for Crystal Palace could push Everton to move for the striker.

Sean Dyche is yet to bring in experienced cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the weekend’s defeat to Fulham proved they are really lacking a goalscorer.

Adams is one of a few strikers that could really fit the bill at Goodison Park but they highest bidder could be forced to overpay for a player with less than 12 months left on his current contract.

If Palace are to bid for Adams then Everton will either have to consider making themselves known or look elsewhere very quickly.
