During an update on Newcastle’s ongoing interest in Kieran Tierney, Sky Sports appear to have revealed Arsenal’s valuation of the left-back.
Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam reported that the Gunners are looking to recoup £25m for the Scottish international; which is the same fee they paid to sign him from Celtic four years ago.
This follows Keith Downie’s Monday update, where Sky’s North East correspondent confirmed we’ve been in contact with Arsenal but told they prefer a straight sale than a loan-to-buy deal.
We were told back in May that the North London side were demanding £35m for the 26-year-old; a fee Eddie Howe was reluctant to pay given his injury history.
So it seems their asking price may have come down, which is good news for a Newcastle United looking for cut-price deals in light of our FFP constraints.

Tierney is thought to be one of several options at left-back, with Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella and Lewis Hall also linked over the past 24 hours. A couple of European options have also been explored and may come to light over the coming days.
