After signing a contract extension with a Championship club, Neil Warnock challenged Huddersfield Town forward Kyle Hudlin with a new challenge.
Kyle Hudlin, a striker for HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, has received a new contract extension as recognition for his success at the Championship club.
The imposing forward, who recently scored his first goal as a senior for Town against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup first-round match, is now under contract at the John Smith’s Stadium through June 2026.
The 6′ 9″ forward from Solihull Moors signed a two-year deal with an additional year in the club’s favor after Town defeated interest from a number of other clubs in the summer of 2022.
Prior to rejoining the Terriers in the new year, Hudlin spent the first part of last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon, where he scored four goals for the Dons in the EFL Trophy.
The 23-year-old frontman drew manager Neil Warnock’s attention during preseason, scoring in each of his outings in friendlies before to the start of the Championship and hitting a fine goal in the club’s final friendly against Dutch team Heerenveen.
Kyle has been training extremely hard, so we gave him a chance during preseason in Cornwall and Devon, and he impressed us, said Warnock.
The only thing left for him to do is to keep working as hard as he can and taking risks. He’s a nice kid, and I’m happy for him that he’s gotten this new contract.
The club is thrilled to have Kyle extend his contract, and he should be extremely proud of how much his game has improved since joining us a year ago, according to Town sporting director Mark Cartwright.
“Jake Edwards, Kevin Nagle, and I are very happy for him.
He is converting a wonderful off-field mindset into matches by seizing every opportunity that comes his way, and that is all you can ask for. He must now keep up this effort if he wants to consistently make the first team.
