Evan Ferguson spent most of his formative years in his homeland, turning out for the age-group teams at St. Kevins Boys FC and Bohemian FC. But he has come leaps and bounds since joining Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2021. And after some time with the Seagulls’ reserve side, he made his first-team debut in August 2021.

But 2022/23 was Ferguson’s breakthrough season at Brighton & Hove Albion, as he made his mark in the second half. And the 18-year-old has started the new campaign strongly, scoring once in just 35 minutes of game time. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United vying for his signature.

The Gunners are the latest club to show an interest in the Irish striker. And Arsenal will look to sign the teenage sensation in the 2024 summer transfer window. Meanwhile, despite the presence of Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal can do with a prolific striker. And with Folarin Balogun’s future uncertain, a new young centre-forward is the need of the hour.
Recent reports have also claimed that Manchester United and Tottenham will look to sign Evan Ferguson in 2024. And Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old is understandable, considering Harry Kane has left a gaping hole in the offensive unit. With Richarlison not being prolific enough, the North London club should go all out to land the Brighton prospect.

On the other hand, Manchester United signed Rasmus Hojlund a few days ago. But with Anthony Martial failing to make his mark, Erik ten Hag can do with another striker. Ferguson is thus a viable target for Manchester United. And they might be the only club that can afford Brighton’s asking price of £100 million.

But the report claims that Arsenal might be the only serious suitor for the Republic of Ireland international right now. And it will be interesting to see if the Gunners beat Manchester United and Tottenham to the £100 million-rated striker.
