Sources: Man United star Brandon Williams agrees Ipswich Town move
Man United have reached an agreement with Ipswich Town for Brandon Williams to complete a move, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship side are set to bring the 22-year-old left-back to Portman Road on an initial loan deal.
There have been discussions over an option to buy at the end of the season.
Williams was absent from United’s squad for their Premier League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday, and manager Erik ten Hag has given him the green light to move.
The left-back has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford that includes the option of a further 12 months.
Williams has been part of United’s youth setup since 2008 and worked his way through the ranks before joining up with the senior team in 2019.
He went on to spend the 2021-22 season with Norwich during their last stint in the English top flight and featured 29 times across all competitions.

The defender has made 51 appearances for the first team across all competitions, notching one goal and three assists in those outings.
Williams featured just once for Ten Hag’s side last term for a five minute cameo in their fourth round league cup win over Burnley.
The youngster will be Ipswich’s third Premier League signing of the summer after Omari Hutchinson joined on loan from Chelsea and goalkeeper Cieran Slicker signed a three-year deal at Portman Road after leaving Man City.
