Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has given an injury update ahead of the Championship clash with Leeds United
Kieran McKenna has confirmed Ipswich Town could be hit with a triple blow on the injury front ahead of their upcoming clash with Leeds United. The league leaders host Daniel Farke’s side at Portman Road on Saturday, looking to maintain their perfect start and record a fifth straight win in all competitions.
Ipswich sit level on points with recently relegated Leicester City at the summit, having dispatched QPR, Stoke City and Sunderland so far. McKenna’s team also booked their place in the second round of the Carabao Cup with a home win over Bristol Rovers.
However, the highly-rated manager revealed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that Janoi Donacien will not feature on Saturday due to a groin strain. The versatile defender could be in line to return against Cardiff City next weekend, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
McKenna also confirmed that Town duo Cameron Burgess and David Hirst will face late fitness tests ahead of the visit of the Whites. Burgess is struggling with an ankle complaint, while Hirst has an ‘issue’ with his adductor.

In more positive news for Ipswich, loanee Brandon Williams could be in line to make his debut having completed his season-long switch from Manchester United this week. The 22-year-old had previously been linked with a prospective move to Elland Road.
