New signing Chem Campbell looks set to feature for Charlton Athletic at Oxford United tomorrow.
The Addicks sealed a season-long loan deal for the 20-year-old Wolves attacker on Wednesday.
Ipswich Town loanee Panutche Camara could be a late check for the South Londoners after missing last weekend’s reverse to Port Vale with a foot injury.
Richard Chin (groin), Scott Fraser (calf), Tyreece Campbell (ankle), Chuks Aneke (calf) and Miles Leaburn (ankle) are all set to be unavailable as the South Londoners aim to get back to winning ways.
Asked about Campbell, manager Dean Holden told the club’s website: “He’s had two light sessions with the group and is getting to know everybody. We’ve done a lot of research on him as a personality and like what we hear.
“As a player he can play right across the frontline, carries the ball well, scores and creates, so we’re pleased to get him in. He’ll be available to be involved in the squad tomorrow.”
Charlton have lost their last three outings in League One.
“We’ve digested the first few performances, looked at where we are excelling, where we are doing really well and also the other side of the game where we’ve come a little bit short,” said Holden. “We’ve had lots of video meetings this week. It’s been the first week that we’ve had with no midweek game since the start of the season, so we’ve been able to get a lot of work into the players which we’re pleased with.
“We’ve looked at setpieces and a number of things, defensively what we look like in possession of the ball. We’ve worked on all aspects with a focus on the basics of defending in and around our box and staying connected as a team.”
