West Ham set to complete three last-minute additions before the transfer window closes.

West Ham are still open to the idea of making three new signings despite issues presented by their game against Luton Town on Friday (1 September), according to Malik Ouzia.

The Evening Standard journalist tweeted on 1 September that the Hammers remain interested in Hugo Ekitike, Youssef En-Nesyri and Filip Kostic as the transfer deadline approaches.

But he said the timing of the Irons’ game at Kenilworth Road complicates matters and could also have an impact on any potential outgoings.
Unfair

West Ham

It seems pretty unfair that West Ham and Luton are being forced to play this evening despite the transfer window closing just an hour after the full-time whistle blows.

There are no other Premier League clubs in action, so it feels as though the rest of the sides are gaining an advantage as they will be able to continue working on deals while the Irons and the Hatters don’t have that luxury.
It means they will likely have to get all their business done by this evening even though there are still question marks around whether some players that could be in the squad will remain in East London, particularly Maxwel Cornet after he has been linked with a move to Everton.

It’s starting to feel more unlikely that any new signings will come through the door as David Moyes seems fairly happy with the business he has managed to get done already this summer.

You never really know what is going to happen, but there’s no doubt that the match against Luton is going to get in the way and shouldn’t be taking place on deadline day.
