Every club is required by UEFA to present two player lists that include information like the player’s jersey number, birthdate, and country of citizenship. Additionally, the club doctor must certify that each player on the lists has undergone a medical exam.

While List B (see more information below) must be submitted by midnight on the day before each match, List A must be submitted to the appropriate association by midnight tonight.

List A

During the season, no team may have more than 25 players on List A, with at least two of those players being goalkeepers. Eight of the 25 spots are set aside only for “locally trained players,” and no club is allowed to list more than four “association-trained players” in any one of those eight spots.

A “locally trained player” is what? Two categories exist:

1. Club-trained athletes who spent 36 months between the ages of 15 and 21 or three full seasons (i.e., the time between the first and last official match of the applicable national championship) on the books of a club.

2. Association-trained players who spent 36 months between the ages of 15 and 21 or three full seasons (i.e., the time between the opening and closing official games of the applicable national championship) on the books of another club in the same association.

List B
A player who was born on or after January 1, 2002 and who, at the time of UEFA registration, has been eligible to play for the club in question for any continuous period of two years since turning 15 may be listed on List B.
