Following the rescheduling of the previously postponed match between the two teams for Tuesday, October 3, Luton Town and Burnley will each have a Double Gameweek 7.
After visiting Everton (a), Luton will play Burnley (h) at Kenilworth Road.
The team led by Vincent Kompany will compete in a double against Luton and Newcastle United.
The Hatters’ major ground modifications weren’t finished in time, thus their Gameweek 2 encounter against Burnley was postponed.
Only three players from Luton and Burnley presently have more than 2% ownership, and all three are defenders worth £4.0 million: Issa Kabore (5.3%), Amari’i Bell (6.5%), and Jordan Beyer (3.3%), who is on loan from Manchester City.
The latter was benched in Gameweek 4 in favor of Alfie Doughty (£4.4m), who had scored in the Carabao Cup the previous Wednesday.
Ryan Giles (£4.5m), another wingback for Luton, has tried more crosses (32) than any other FPL defender thus far in 2023–24.
Two low-owned strikers should be taken into consideration moving forward.
In their three outings so far this season, Lyle Foster (£5.0m) and Carlton Morris (£5.5m) have both generated two attacking returns.
In that time, Foster has attempted five times inside the box and created two Opta-defined “big chances.” The Luton player is making an attempt per 30 minutes on average.
We can confirm that the new date for our home Premier League match against Burnley is Tuesday, October 3.
The game between the two teams that were promoted from the Championship together in May was initially set for Saturday, August 19, but it was postponed to give more time for the new Bobbers Stand at Kenilworth Road to be finished.
A ticket sales strategy will be unveiled in due course, with kickoff set for the earlier-than-usual time of 7.30pm.
