During Poland’s 2-0 loss against Albania, SAINTS defender Jan Bednarek was taken off early due to a suspected injury.
The international center-back contributed significantly to his nation’s triumph over the Faroe Islands the previous time out.
However, his performance against Albania on Sunday in European Championship qualifying only lasted 34 minutes before he was had to leave the game.
When he was ejected with the score at 0-0, Bednarek was receiving acclaim for his play.
For Saints boss Russell Martin, the 27-year-old has started each game of the Championship season. On Friday, September 15, Leicester City will visit St. Mary’s.
Following the worry, no other information has been provided regarding Bednarek’s situation; however, if worries are realized, he may be benched.
Later in the week, when Martin is scheduled to speak to the media before of the Leicester game, an update on Bednarek’s condition is anticipated.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis, the captain of the England youth team, joined the Saints on the final day of the signing deadline from Manchester City.
