AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud is currently undergoing personalised work at the Milanello training ground as he seeks to get fit for the Inter clash, a report claims.
As has been reported by Milan News, the French striker is working separately from the rest of the Milan squad to try and ensure that his ankle injury heals as quickly as possible.
He picked up the injury whilst on international duty with France. Les Bleus were facing Ireland in a Euro 2024 qualifying match and he had to be taken off early.
The injury does not appear to be too serious but with the derby fast approaching on Saturday at 18:00 local time, specific work needs to be done.
If Giroud cannot recover, Milan will feel vindicated in their decision to take Luka Jovic from Fiorentina on the final day of the summer transfer window as he may already be providing essential depth behind Giroud.
