Newcastle United’s star sends a five-word message ahead of a possible start against Brentford.

On Saturday evening (5:30 p.m. kick-off), Newcastle United will face Brentford in the Premier League.
Sean Longstaff has yet to make a Premier League start this season, but injury issues in midfield may give him a chance to shine against Brentford on Saturday. Eddie Howe’s favorite three this season has been Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, and Joelinton; however, given an injury scare to Tonali during the international time, Howe may resort to Longstaff when Brentford visit the north east.

Tonali missed Italy’s win over Ukraine on Tuesday night due to a’slight muscular injury’ and may not be risked against the Bees ahead of Newcastle’s return to the Champions League – and Tonali’s return to the San Siro – on Tuesday night. Longstaff, who has become a crucial member of the team since Howe’s appointment as manager in 2021, said on X, ‘Back to it this weekend’ (fist pump emoji), beside a photo of himself in training.

Joe Willock, another midfielder, will not play this weekend as he recovers from an injury.
