Burnley have received two injury boosts ahead of their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Monday (7:45pm).
Forest will resume play after a two-week international break. Steve Cooper’s team will be seeking for their second consecutive win after defeating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge the previous time out.
The Clarets, on the other hand, have lost all three league games. Last month, however, Vincent Kompany’s team knocked Forest out of the Carabao Cup.
Kompany is likely to welcome back Aaron Ramsey and Vitinho ahead of the match. Both were forced to withdraw from the cup match due to concussions and knee injuries, respectively.
Hjalmar Ekdal, who had a knee injury and is still healing, was also pulled from the field. “Ekdal, we were really fearing the worst-case scenario, so in our case, it’s still a positive,” Kompany explained.
“He won’t be fit for the next couple of weeks or so, but the damage isn’t as bad as we feared.” Aaron Ramsey is back, and Vitinho is back, so there are plenty of possibilities.”
Anass Zaroury will return after serving a three-game suspension, but Darko Churlinov and Michael Obafemi are out.
