A significant Huddersfield Town managerial update has been released amid new manager options

Neil Warnock is poised to depart Huddersfield Town on Monday, despite his team winning their second game in a row yesterday against Rotherham.
Will Neil Warnock go from Huddersfield Town?
The experienced manager returned to the Terriers last season, when they appeared to be on the verge of relegation to League One. However, he worked wonders to keep the team in the Championship, and new owner Kevin Nagle persuaded Warnock to continue on for another year after he indicated he would not return.

However, the 74-year-old was dissatisfied with the paucity of business done in the transfer window, as he sought to bolster the squad to avoid another relegation battle.

Nonetheless, it came as a surprise when TalkSPORT reported on Saturday evening that Warnock could leave the club.

“Huddersfield manager Neil Warnock is on the verge of resigning.”According to TalkSPORT insiders, a mystery international leader has already been lined up in readiness for Warnock’s departure.”

What is Neil Warnock’s take on the situation?
It’s fair to say that the ex-Sheffield United manager didn’t do much to quell speculation that he would leave, with Warnock simply telling Yorkshire Live that he will host a press conference tomorrow to reveal further facts.

“There will be a press conference on Monday, and I’m sure you’ll be there.” I believe it is one o’clock. So we’ll talk about it there.”

How devastating would this be for Huddersfield?
This would be a huge blow for Huddersfield, because Warnock is a proven manager who has been there and done it over the years.

Even in the six games this season, there was no panic from the manager when the team failed to win the first four, which would have worried a less experienced manager, especially given the paucity of additions.

Instead, he galvanized the team, and they’ve won three straight games to climb the ladder.

Of course, without knowing the likely replacement, it’s difficult to predict on how significant a setback this might be. But it’s evident that Warnock is a manager who can maintain Huddersfield in the Premier League, and he’s made the most of the Terriers’ team since taking over.

What is next for Huddersfield Town?
If Warnock were to go, the timing would be strange given the recent international break.

Anyway, all eyes will be on the news conference tomorrow, and it will be very intriguing to see what occurs, and whether Warnock is replaced immediately if he leaves.

The Yorkshire club has a full calendar until the October international break, with a game against Stoke City coming up on Wednesday night, so they won’t want to stretch things out.

Any ambiguity would be detrimental to the club, and they will be anxious to make it three wins in a row when the Potters visit in the coming week.
