Eddie Howe addressed Newcastle player Joelinton during their Champions League match, providing an update on his injury.
Newcastle drew 0-0 with AC Milan at the San Siro, which was an excellent result for the Premier League team.
It will be fascinating to watch if Newcastle can advance from their Champions League group, which is widely regarded as one of the most difficult in the competition.
Joelinton would have been disappointed to miss the game, as would Eddie Howe, but the good news is that he has issued a favorable injury update on the Brazilian.
Eddie Howe gives an update on Joelinton’s injury.
With a slew of challenging games coming up for Newcastle, they will undoubtedly require their best players to be available.
Howe discussed Joelinton with TNT Sports Brazil. “Yeah, Joe is a big player for us and has been for a while,” he remarked. A huge personality. We have a strong physical presence.
“We missed his ability to win balls in the middle of the field.” But, hopefully, he’ll return soon. This does not appear to be a significant injury. But it’s clearly enough to keep him out for the time being.”

It’s encouraging to hear that the injury isn’t significant and that Howe feels the 27-year-old will be back soon.
Hopefully, the player will return sooner rather than later, as he is an important player who deserves to be playing in the Champions League for Newcastle. The ‘unbelievable’ player, who cost roughly £40 million, was instrumental in the club qualifying for the Champions League last season.
If they can get tough points away from home like that, they will undoubtedly have a terrific season and be able to turn things around.
