Manchester City will “ease past” Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, according to legendary football manager Harry Redknapp.
City, who have won all five of their Premier League games this season, face a Forest club that has picked up four points in their last two outings. The Reds are presently ninth in the table, with two wins and two draws from five games.
Redknapp told BetVictor before of the game that Forest “deserve praise” for their start to the season, but he predicts a 3-1 victory for this weekend’s hosts. Despite a midweek setback to playmaker Bernardo Silva.
“While Forest and Steve Cooper deserve credit for how their season has started, I believe Man City will win again at home,” Redknapp added. With Bernardo Silva’s injury in midweek, Pep may have to reshuffle his deck once more, but with that strong core of Haaland, Alvarez, Rodri, and co, he can undoubtedly be expected to cruise past a competent Forest team.”
It comes after fellow commentator Chris Sutton predicted that Erling Haaland will “probably score eight” goals against Forest this weekend. Excellent arithmetic.
