Milan are facing a new injury scare in midfield after Ruben Loftus-Cheek limped off during the Serie A match against Lazio.

The England international lasted only 28 minutes before he was forced to leave the field at San Siro with what DAZN report to be a muscular issue.

He was spotted limping down the tunnel to the locker room with his head in his hands, then threw his shirt to the ground in anger as he was accompanied by medical staff.

There are inevitably therefore concerns going into a crucial Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

It is yet another problem for Stefano Pioli to deal with in the middle of the park, having already lost Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer to injury for several weeks.
Yacine Adli is already filling in for them, having not played at all until midweek, while Yunus Musah came off the bench to replace Loftus-Cheek against Lazio.

There was at least some positive news from the medical staff, because Mike Maignan and Davide Calabria both made their returns to the starting XI.
