25-year-old key player will be without ahead Nottingham Forest game as Roy Hodgson handed fresh blow

Crystal Palace’s injury list is rising after the latest tests revealed Eberechi Eze has a hamstring injury.
Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze will not play this weekend after suffering a hamstring injury in the Premier League triumph against Manchester United.

The 25-year-old was set to play for England during the international break, but his current injury will keep him out of the game against Forest and the rest of the international break.

Eze suffered a hamstring injury in training, adding to a crowded treatment room and further taxing one of the Premier League’s smallest squads.

He adds to the growing list on the injury front that includes Michael Olise, Dean Henderson, Matheus Franca, Jefferson Lerma and Naouirou Ahamada who have all been ruled out.

Eberechi Eze: Crystal Palace's 'deep thinker' never gave up on England dream despite multiple setbacks
Roy Hodgson has done a remarkable job this season highlighted by their impressive 1-0 win over Manchester United and their midtable stand in the league.

The Eagles will hope for another win when they take on Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest who are three places and three points behind the Eagles.

This season, Palace have lost Wilfried Zaha to Galatasaray and Michael Olise to injury but have had a decent start to the season winning three, losing two and drawing two of their first seven games of the season.

They have had to do this with a huge injury list which makes it much more impressive given most people expected them to struggle having made little addition to the squad in the summer.
