We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert in injuries, as our exclusive columnist. In his weekly contributions, he will provide insights on the injury status of West Ham players.

According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, West Ham’s goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski, is expected to be absent from the upcoming match against Aston Villa. The injury specialist notes that while the official diagnosis is a knock, there may be more to it than meets the eye. In an exclusive interview with West Ham Zone, Brar, who specializes in Physical Therapy and Sports Science, stated:

“It’s challenging to draw definitive conclusions from this because the severity of a knock can vary greatly based on specific details. However, there are indications that it may be more serious, as he has been given only a 25% chance of regaining fitness.”

“There’s a possibility that he won’t be fit in time for the weekend game.”

Fortunately, the team is unlikely to suffer in his absence, as Alphonse Areola has established himself as the new primary goalkeeper. While David Moyes took some time to have confidence in the French goalkeeper, he has now become the undisputed number one and has performed exceptionally well. Therefore, benching him would seem unjustifiable.

Furthermore, it remains uncertain whether Areola will remain with the club beyond the January transfer window.
