The QPR manager, Ainsworth, is facing criticism due to recent poor performance. Since taking over at QPR in February, Ainsworth helped the team narrowly avoid relegation from the Championship last season but has struggled in the current campaign. Out of the 25 games he’s managed, Ainsworth has won just five and drawn four. Notably, QPR’s home ground, Loftus Road, has seen fewer victories under his leadership compared to some other teams.

This has led to calls from some fans for Ainsworth to be removed from his position. However, it appears that Ainsworth is not anticipating a departure from the club in the near future, as he believes he has the support of the QPR board. He attributes this support to the plans he has presented for the club.

In terms of the Championship standings, QPR is currently in 22nd place with just two wins and two draws out of 11 league games.

The team is two points away from the safety zone, having accumulated only eight points. Ainsworth’s side is scheduled to face Huddersfield Town after the international break.

While Ainsworth’s job at QPR appears to be safe for now, it’s evident that he needs a string of positive results to maintain that security. The team’s recent performance suggests a risk of relegation, and the club needs to turn things around soon to satisfy the fanbase, which is currently discontented with his performance.

Furthermore, with experienced Championship managers like John Eustace and Gary Rowett becoming available, the pressure on Ainsworth is likely to increase. This is especially true given that Huddersfield, their next opponent, has also had a slow start to the season, making Saturday’s match an opportunity for QPR to demonstrate improvement.
