A Eurosport1 QPR fan pundit, Louis Moir, has expressed strong criticism of Gareth Ainsworth in light of the team’s recent poor performance. Speculation about Ainsworth’s future as the QPR manager continues to circulate.

Despite the team’s ongoing struggle, the 50-year-old Ainsworth remains in his managerial position. QPR has managed to secure only eight points in their first 13 matches of the season, currently placing them 22nd in the Championship table.

Moir’s comments suggest that the club’s decision to retain Ainsworth as the manager for this extended period is questionable. Moir believes that Ainsworth, the former Wycombe Wanderers boss, should have been dismissed at the conclusion of the previous season.

Moir stated, “The situation with Ainsworth has deteriorated significantly since my last discussion about him. Many fans had low expectations for our recent games, but the disappointing performances against teams like Huddersfield and West Brom have left us disillusioned. It’s disheartening to see us struggle against teams in similar positions in the table and fail to put up a fight. Our current situation is arguably the worst I’ve ever witnessed as a QPR fan, and even older generations of supporters share the same sentiment, which is quite telling. I’m at a loss as to why he is still in charge. Our style of play is nothing short of a disgrace. His inability to utilize players like Ilias Chair is inexplicable. If there’s no improvement in sight, we’re merely delaying the inevitable. In my opinion, he should have been let go at the end of the last season. It was evident that things weren’t going to improve, and the situation is only deteriorating. Our statistics are abysmal, with goals conceded and a lack of scoring. If Ainsworth isn’t removed, we’re on a path towards relegation. It’s a deplorable state of affairs, and I’m left without words at this point.”
