The agent of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has confirmed that several clubs have expressed interest in his client ahead of the January transfer window. Despite being highly rated from a young age, Dragusin’s career saw him join Juventus in 2018 at the age of 16. He made only four senior appearances for Juventus but showcased his potential during a loan spell at Genoa last season. Consequently, Genoa exercised their option to secure his permanent signing this summer.

The 21-year-old has been previously linked with a move to Tottenham, and he has made a solid start to the current season by starting in all of Genoa’s nine Serie A matches. His agent, Florin Manea, revealed that Newcastle is one of the clubs interested in Dragusin and mentioned that Genoa values the center-back at €30 million (£26 million).

While there have been discussions with Newcastle and other teams, Manea clarified that the offer mentioned wasn’t a formal one from Newcastle. He emphasized that Genoa would demand a substantial sum for Dragusin’s transfer.

The agent also shared Dragusin’s aspiration to reach the highest level in football and highlighted the player’s commitment to continuous improvement, including meticulous attention to details like his diet.

As for Tottenham, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that they are still actively pursuing Dragusin, despite previous interest during the tenure of Fabio Paratici, the individual responsible for bringing the defender to Juventus.
