The body of a man was found in the parking area below the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona following Napoli’s Serie A clash with Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport details how the body of a 42-year-old man was discovered in the abandoned parking area below the guest stands of the stadium during the night.
A friend of the victim told police that the two of them had snuck into the stadium through a tunnel, trying to reach the stands without a ticket for the match.
The victim, from Bacoli, in the province of Naples, went first and climbed up to try and gain further access into the stadium, but fell from a height of around 20 metres to the ground. His friend’s access was blocked by a fallen beam, and he gave up trying to enter.
On the pitch, Napoli were held to a 2-2 draw by Milan, with goals coming from Olivier Giroud, Matteo Politano and Giacomo Raspadori.
