Former footballer Gabriel Agbonlahor has expressed his belief that Eddie Howe would not be tempted to leave Newcastle United for Manchester United. Agbonlahor made this statement during an appearance on Eurosport1, asserting that such a move would be unwise for Howe.

Erik ten Hag’s position as Manchester United’s manager is under increasing pressure, particularly following their recent 3-0 loss.

Agbonlahor commented on the notion of Howe leaving Newcastle for Manchester United, emphasizing the factors that would discourage such a move: “Not a chance, look at the finances that Newcastle have got, the amount of money they’re going to have to spend in transfer windows. Obviously, there’s Financial Fair Play, but the job he’s doing there is outstanding. The fans love him, the owners are happy with him, they’re in the Champions League, they’ve got a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League. They’re in sixth position above Manchester United, and they’re going places. Everyone’s united at that club, I can’t see Eddie Howe wanting to leave Newcastle for Manchester United.”

Agbonlahor’s opinion is that it is highly unlikely for Howe to consider leaving his current post at Newcastle. He believes that Howe’s project at Newcastle is flourishing, as demonstrated by the strong performances of several young players. Notably, Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento received praise, reinforcing the club’s belief in their potential as future England internationals. Joe Willock’s impact in a starting role after recovering from injury was also commended.

It appears that Eddie Howe has confidence in his Newcastle team, given the impressive performance they delivered against Manchester United. In contrast, Manchester United under Ten Hag seems to be facing a crisis this season, despite making some smart summer signings. There is now immense pressure on their upcoming match against Fulham.
