Samuel L. Jackson, known for his fiery performances in movies, has expressed his apparent frustration with the Los Angeles Rams’ recent sports losses. The Rams were defeated by the Green Bay Packers with a score of 20-3 in a game at Lambeau Field. The game was marred by sloppy play from both teams, resulting in fewer than 200 yards of total offense for the Rams. This was exacerbated by quarterback Brett Rypien stepping in for the injured Matthew Stafford.
In response to the Rams’ performance, Jackson took to Twitter, saying, “At what point do we start the Rams coaching conversation?!!” This tweet marked Jackson’s first public comment on the Rams, and it reflects growing concern over the team’s underwhelming season, with a 3-6 record following their Super Bowl championship defense last year.
Head coach Sean McVay had considered stepping down after the previous season but ultimately chose to stay. He is contracted with the Rams until 2026 and has a 63-44 record since becoming head coach in 2017. Under his leadership, the Rams secured the Super Bowl in 2022 and an NFC conference championship in 2018-19.
Rypien filled in for Stafford due to the latter’s thumb injury sustained in a previous loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Rypien’s performance on Sunday was subpar, with a low completion rate and short average yards per attempt. Coach McVay, however, shared the blame among the team, acknowledging that there were opportunities for improvement.
In a personal note, McVay recently welcomed his first child, a son named Jordan John McVay, with his wife, Veronika Khomyn.
