Eddie Howe is pleased with how Lewis Hall has adjusted.
In the summer, the youthful full-back joined the Magpies on a season-long loan from Chelsea. Based on performance-related terms, Newcastle is obligated to make the 19-year-old’s switch permanent.
And, after what has been a fantastic start to life at St. James’ Park for the teenager thus far, Howe is eager to see what the future holds.
Howe had some strong words of appreciation for the Chelsea loanee ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture, which will see him ineligible to play for Newcastle against his parent club.
“His commitment to his training and all the work he’s done behind the scenes has been really good,” he remarked.
“He’s a very talented young player.” He possesses a lovely left foot and a good level of technical skill.
“He has a great deal of potential.” I believe a few aspects of his game might be smoothed out and improved, but that would be true of any young player. We have complete faith in him.”
Hall, who was recently promoted to England’s Under-21s, has scored one goal in his first five games on Tyneside.
