Pete Carroll will need to right the ship immediately. The Seattle Seahawks are still clinging to a postseason berth, but they face a hard schedule in the coming weeks. They had already suffered a crushing defeat on Thanksgiving, and the offense didn’t appear promising. Carroll was dissatisfied with the offense’s trajectory and made a sly jab at offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Only two field goals were scored by the offense. While the 49ers’ defense is loaded with talent, the Seahawks should be able to put up some points with the weapons they have. Carroll addressed the offense in a press conference on Friday.
“I want to make sure we’re maximizing the personalities and using the guys as effectively as we can.” Make certain that we are selecting the greatest paths for the boys – We have unique talents that must be maximized. We don’t seem to be. I have the impression that we are not seeing anything.”
He doesn’t say it explicitly, but reading between the lines of this comment suggests that Waldron isn’t doing his job, according to Carroll.
There is no shortage of weapons.
It’s not like the Seahawks lack talent. The receiving triumvirate of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is outstanding. While Kenneth Walker was out, rookie Zach Charbonnet filled in admirably. Geno Smith hasn’t had a season like last year, but he’s far from a bad quarterback. The offensive simply cannot find its footing. It wasn’t simply on Thursday night. They only scored 16 points against the Rams the week before. A team with this many weapons should be putting up more points.
Is Carroll attempting to shift blame? When teams struggle, the coordinators are frequently the first to go. The Seahawks can still comeback and make the playoffs, but it will be difficult.
