WATCH: 'Up the Clarets!' - Burnley co-owner and ex-NFL star JJ Watt joins in raucous celebrations with supporters at Turf Moor

JJ Watt, a co-owner of Burnley FC, tweeted a video of himself dancing, singing, and cheering on the Clarets from the stands.
WHAT OCCURED?

The ex-Houston Texans star, 34, shared a video on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, of himself in the stands with the Clarets during Saturday’s 2-1 loss to West Ham. He stated the trip from the United States to England took nearly a day, but it seemed to have been worthwhile in the end!

“20 hours of flight time for a 90-minute match.” A disappointing conclusion to an otherwise outstanding performance. Would I, however, do it all over again? Each and every time. Up, Clarets!”

Watt has built an excellent bond with the Clarets since joining the club over the summer. On the same trip, he was photographed pouring pints for supporters at a local bar while simultaneously documenting his adventure on social media. He’s following in the footsteps of Wrexham’s Hollywood owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, while NFL great Tom Brady is also interested in joining Championship team Birmingham City.

WHERE ARE JJ WATT AND BURNLEY GOING NEXT?

The Clarets will seek to rebound from their dismal performance against the Hammers, as well as their overall terrible start to the 2023-24 season. The next game is against fellow promoted side Sheffield United, which Vincent Kompany will almost certainly regard as a must-win for Burnley.
