Dr. Will Abbott has been named director of performance services at Charlton Athletic.
Abbott will take over as performance director at Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion after serving his notice term there.
Abbott, who has spent more than a decade with the Seagulls, will be in charge of Charlton’s medical, nutrition, sports science, and psychology departments.
“We interviewed a number of really talented candidates, and Will was the standout,” Addicks technical director Andy Scott said.
“I believe everyone admires and envies Brighton, and we believe Will’s experiences over the last decade, as well as his unrivaled knowledge, will help us set the high standards in the performance departments that will improve the entire club.”
