Lewis Hamilton is of the opinion that the upcoming release of an F1 film, in which he serves as a producer, could significantly influence the world of Formula 1. He shared that Las Vegas, a recent addition to the F1 calendar, will have a crucial role in this film starring Brad Pitt, slated for a 2025 release. Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, expressed enthusiasm about the potential expansion of the already thriving American fanbase, given the increase in the number of Grands Prix held in the United States each season.
The film project, featuring Hollywood luminaries such as Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies alongside Brad Pitt, was granted access to capture footage at various Grands Prix, including Silverstone. During the Silverstone race, Pitt and Idris participated in half of the formation lap before Max Verstappen emerged victorious.
Hamilton, foreseeing a positive impact on F1’s fanbase, emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the movie and the openness of F1 leadership, particularly Stefano Domenicali and Greg Maffei, in exploring innovative initiatives. He highlighted the unprecedented aspects of the film, including the allowance for an extra team on track and the collaboration with A-list actors. Las Vegas, a focal point of the recent F1 additions, is expected to play a pivotal role in the movie’s narrative. Hamilton, at 38, sees the film as a significant stride in broadening the horizons of the sport, blending its rich history with contemporary elements.
