“I observed a fitting quality in Dan that resonates well with football, and I see it as suitable for the game,” stated Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

While Mike McCarthy remains the head coach for the time being, Jones acknowledged the resemblance between Dan Campbell and a Dallas legend, Jason Witten.

However, Jones emphasized that any decisions regarding the coaching position, be it an extension or otherwise, will be addressed in the offseason. He clarified, “I don’t do anything of that sort until the season is over,” as the Cowboys focus on their current season and the possibility of playoffs.

Speaking of Witten’s coaching prospects, his recent success at Liberty Christian High School, leading them to a state championship, reflects his experience and potential in the coaching realm.

Despite retiring from the NFL after 17 seasons, with 16 spent with the Cowboys, Witten’s coaching journey seems promising.
