The incident happened a few blocks from Hard Rock Stadium soon after the game ended
Following the Miami Dolphins’ unsuccessful attempt to secure the AFC East title in a disheartening loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded as a departing fan was fatally shot, as confirmed by Miami Gardens police on Monday.
Law enforcement is currently working to identify the suspected shooter, who quickly fled the scene after the Sunday shooting. Witnesses reported hearing at least four gunshots, and the incident occurred a short distance from Hard Rock Stadium shortly after the conclusion of the game at around 11:15 p.m.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called to the location just before midnight, but unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary information suggests that the individual, accompanied by his girlfriend and a few friends, was navigating through traffic as they exited the area. An altercation allegedly broke out between the victim, his friends, and someone in a vehicle.
