Recent Update: Bills Seek Fan Assistance in Snow Removal at Highmark Stadium ahead of NFL Playoffs
Buffalo has long been known as one of the NFL’s winter wonderlands, especially in January. The Buffalo Bills are accustomed to playing games in the snow during this time of year. However, this year, the snowfall appears to be particularly challenging, even for the most dedicated Buffalo fans. It has reached a point where the Bills themselves are reaching out to their supporters for help in clearing the snow.
The Bills issued a statement on their website, urging individuals to participate in snow removal at Highmark Stadium. Those interested in assisting will be compensated with a payment of $20 per hour for their contributions. This is an unusual move for a team, reflecting the severity of the snowfall this season.
“The Buffalo Bills and Jani-King are inviting individuals aged 18 and over (or under 18 with proper working papers) who are willing to shovel snow inside the stadium. Come to Highmark Stadium starting at 10:00 p.m. tomorrow night (Saturday night) and be part of the team preparing the venue for the hometown Bills’ Wildcard Playoff game against the Steelers!”
While snowy playoff games are not uncommon in Buffalo, the upcoming matchup against the Steelers presents a unique challenge. Despite signs pointing to a probable victory for Buffalo, the team has struggled with inconsistency throughout the season. A disappointing performance against Pittsburgh could lead to significant changes within the team.
