Spring training for the Milwaukee Brewers is set to kick off in under a month, with opening day just a little over two months away. As customary during this period, emerging talents and players who have signed minor league deals are often welcomed to join the Brewers’ major league squad. This provides them with the opportunity to participate in cactus league games against other MLB players, even if they are not officially part of the 40-man roster.

The Brewers organization recently disclosed a list of eight non-roster invitees to the MLB camp, all of whom are promising prospects within their system. Among these invitees are familiar names like catcher Austin Nola, outfielder Brewer Hicklen, along with pitchers Sam Carlson and Easton McGee, who join other notable non-roster invitees.

Eight Milwaukee Brewers prospects invited to MLB camp during spring training as non-roster invitees.

The Brewers announced eight players, seven of whom are presently listed among their top 30 prospects. The players invited are:

INF Tyler Black
INF Brock Wilken
1B Wes Clarke
LHP Robert Gasser
RHP Evan McKendry
RHP Jacob Misiorowski
RHP Tobias Myers
RHP Carlos Rodriguez

Tobias Myers stands out as the sole player in this compilation who doesn’t hold a ranking within the top 30. Notably absent from the non-roster invitee list are top prospects like Jackson Chourio and Jeferson Quero. However, this omission is because they have already had their contracts selected by the Brewers and are set to attend the big league camp.

As the commencement of spring training approaches, it’s anticipated that more non-roster invitees will be unveiled. Spring training rosters typically start off expansive and are gradually trimmed down as the days leading to opening day dwindle. The Brewers’ initial spring training game for this year is slated for February 24.
