Brentford and Everton are allegedly interested in purchasing Said Benrahma from West Ham before the transfer market closes.
This month, the Algerian winger has been heavily linked to a transfer away from the London Stadium. Benrahma has allegedly had loan bids from both Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Marseille.
Declan Rice called Benrahma a “unbelievable” talent, but West Ham seems to be planning to let him go this month in order to bring in a younger player.
Additionally, writer Alex Crook reports that Everton and Brentford are pondering late approaches for Benrahma, and that David Moyes is open to offers during the last week of the January transfer window.
Regarding Benrahma’s future at West Ham, Crook stated: “Southampton winger Said Benrahma is one player to watch in the last week of the transfer window.”
“It’s no secret that David Moyes is accepting bids for the Algerian, and TalkSport has learned that Brentford, Benrahma’s previous team, and Everton are both thinking about making a late move.”
Said Benrahma leaving West Ham would be for the best
Considering how many young strikers the Irons were linked to in January, it seems natural that Moyes and the West Ham transfer squad are now considering adding an attacker to their roster.
Additionally, it would be beneficial for all parties if Benrahma were sold. The Algerian international is past his prime and has outgrown east London, making him a clear star in the Premier League.
Benrahma may thus be able to restart his career by moving to Everton or returning to Brentford, with the Hammers hoping to get a high price for the winger.
In fact, West Ham appears to have a well-defined offensive strategy for the upcoming months, and the faster the Irons can realize their goal, the sooner they can let go of Benrahma.
