LSU Football: Tigers Secure Commitment from Top OL Devin Harper
Harper commits to LSU, adding to the Bayou Bengals’ impressive commitments.
The LSU football staff has been on a recruiting spree in recent weeks, with a focus on the 2025 cycle.
It’s a class that has the potential to transform the LSU program for years to come, and after signing three players ranked No. 1 at their positions, there’s more to come.
Bryce Underwood (No. 1 quarterback), Harlem Berry (No. 1 running back), and Dakorien Moore (No. 1 wide receiver) lead a powerful 2025 class, but other significant targets are poised to emerge sooner rather than later.
On Saturday, Jaboree Antoine, the No. 3 cornerback in America, announced his commitment to LSU.
Another top prospect, four-star offensive tackle Devin Harper, has already committed to the Tigers.
Kelly and Co.’s message on “The Trail” is clear: lock down the Bayou State and erect a wall around Louisiana.
Harper, the state’s No. 3 player, has received a strong push from LSU in recent months, as the Tigers have increased their recruitment efforts significantly.
Harper committed to Brian Kelly and the Tigers on Tuesday night after establishing a connection with LSU.
Only a week and a half ago, the LSU coaches went to Calvary Baptist (La.) to see Harper and his teammate James Simon.
Simon, a four-star running back in the 2025 cycle, is also ranked among Louisiana’s top five players.
Following his visit with LSU’s staff, Harper traveled to Baton Rouge on Saturday for the Tigers’ “Junior Day” celebrations.
The Bayou Bengals have been in his ear for the past few months, with this program recently distinguishing themselves from the pack.
After LSU began trending for Harper’s services, with recruiting gurus predicting he would join the 2025 class in Baton Rouge, he has suddenly emerged as the newest star to become a Tiger.
The consensus four-star, Top 20 overall offensive lineman will join LSU’s excellent offensive line, which is anchored by Brad Davis. Davis continues to dominate the recruiting path, with Harper his most recent top target.
Given that Harper does not sign until December, the Tigers will continue to pursue him and add him to an already loaded 2025 cycle as the club navigates a star-studded class in the coming seasons.
Kelly and the Tigers have made another significant commitment to “The Trail”.
