A return to the Miami Heat was alluded to in a recent Instagram story by veteran player P.J. Tucker.
A forward player is needed by the Miami Heat before the trade deadline on February 8th.
Former Heat player P.J. Tucker and Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton are two of the alternatives. This season, he has made 15 appearances for the Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.
The veteran captioned a photo he took on Saturday of the Miami Beach exit on his Instagram story, “Home Sweet Home.” Some speculate that a reunion in Miami is imminent due to Tucker’s dissatisfaction with his status on the Clippers.
In a December exclusive interview, Tucker said, “I feel like I still got a lot to contribute to a team to be able to win, whether that’s here or somewhere else.” “I am aware of my value. I am aware of my contributions. I’m aware of what I brought. I am aware of what value I can still add. And in light of that, I want to be able to approach a strong team and be of assistance to them.
In 71 games with the Heat in 2022, Tucker finished with an average of 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 48.4 percent shooting. The 38-year-old shown his ability to affect opposing teams when he was a part of the Milwaukee Bucks when they won the NBA Championship in 2021.
