When Allen spoke with reporters prior to Sunday’s championship game, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy gave him a shoutout. Purdy acknowledged the success of the Bills quarterback in terms of statistics, expressing appreciation for Allen.

When Purdy was questioned by reporters on February 5 about who he would start on a fantasy football squad, he said. The 49ers quarterback began by passing through Christian McCaffrey, the running back, and all of his teammates at skill positions.

Allen went on to say that golf is a nice diversion from football’s intensity.
