When selecting this man to be their future manager, the Terriers should evaluate the larger picture.
Darren Moore was fired as manager of Huddersfield Town after the team won only three of their twenty-three league games.
The team is supposedly considering former manager Michael Duff as a potential candidate to keep them from being relegated.
Duff’s playing style might not fit Swansea’s standards, and his prior stints with Swansea, Barnsley, and Cheltenham had varying degrees of success. Right now, he might not be Huddersfield’s best option.
He was brought in shortly after the departing Neil Warnock, who had kept the team from going down, and shortly after the Owls were promoted by the previous Sheffield Wednesday manager.
Out of the 23 league games he managed at Huddersfield, he only managed three victories.
Owner and chairman Kevin Nagle stated: “We have to make this decision to give us the best chance of maintaining our Sky Bet Championship status come the end of the season” after deciding it was time for Moore to leave the team.
“Since starting the job back in September, Darren has put in a tonne of effort and is an amazing individual. I hope he has the best future possible; I believe I speak for everyone at the club when I say that.”
The team is currently looking for someone to save them from the fangs of relegation once more.
If only they had a manager who had a reputation for pulling teams out of tight spots.
