Following his passing, Swansea City will honor superfan Chris Brown on Tuesday night at their match against Leeds United.

Tributes have been flooding in since the news of Chris’s untimely death at the age of 29, who was a well-liked member of the Jack Army for a number of years, initially broke over the weekend. Many supporters and players from the first team have already contributed money to help with his burial expenses.

The team has now urged fans to honor the referee by applauding for one minute at the 29th minute of Tuesday’s match at Swansea.com Stadium.

Due to his intense passion and affection for the Swans, Chris—who has FG syndrome, autism, and ADHD—became somewhat of a local celebrity and was frequently spotted at both home and away games.

Social media has been flooded with tributes over the past several days, with Harrison Ashby and Yannick Bolasie among those expressing their sympathies.

“Everyone at Swansea City is saddened to learn of the passing of supporter Chris Brown,” a statement from the team stated. During this difficult time, our thoughts are with Chris’s friends and family.

“In memory of Chris, we encourage supporters to join in a minute’s applause during the 29th minute of tomorrow’s match.”

Kev Johns said, “The world would be a better place if everyone was as kind and friendly as Chris,” on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter. adored by everyone he came into contact with! Chris, may you rest in peace. Our love, prayers, and thoughts are with your family and many, many friends! Chris adored @SwansOfficial YJB in every way.”

Since then, a GoFundMe campaign has been created in an effort to “give him the send off he truly deserves” and gather funds for Chris’ family.

Just over £1,800 had been raised as of the time of writing, with athletes Jamie Paterson and Liam Cullen among those who had previously made contributions.
