SAD NEWS: Man accused of carrying knife on street following people with it in Wigan will stand trial

BAD NEWS: A man who is charged with carrying a knife while walking about Wigan and following people with it will go on trial.
On November 5, 2022, Nathan Fairhurst, 23, of Thomas Street, Hindley Green, entered a not guilty plea for possessing a Stanley knife on Harrow Road, Marsh Green.
Three-quarters of knife crime convictions in Greater Manchester are of  first-time offenders

On the same day, he was also accused of possessing cannabis, a class B substance.

On May 10, a trial will take place in Bolton Magistrates’ Court. Until then, he was placed in remand with no conditions.
