Clarke keen to quit Sunderland – West Ham, Crystal Palace and Southampton all keen

Reportedly, Sunderland’s only chance to hold onto their best players is to get promoted to the Premier League.

Football Insider has learned from a reliable source that Clarke is hoping Sunderland’s demands don’t go in the way of a possible transfer back to the top division or possibly a first-ever trip to Europe.

Lazio, of Serie A, reportedly made a £14 million approach for the winger in January, but Sunderland decided to keep him at the Stadium of Light.

On Monday, February 19, Football Insider disclosed that West Ham is closely monitoring the former Tottenham player.

The 23-year-old is reportedly being considered by Southampton and Crystal Palace as well.

Due to Clarke’s performance in the 2023–24 campaign thus far, the competition for his signature is intensifying.

This season, in 35 games across all competitions, he has netted 15 goals and provided four assists.

After failing to make an impression at Spurs, the former England Under-20 star moved on an initial loan to Sunderland in January 2022.
