Kirk Cousins might be the Falcons’ best fallback option if they are unable to choose one of their top-choice quarterbacks in the draft. He fits Zac Robinson’s scheme well and is by far the best quarterback available as a free agency. The Falcons would rise to the top of the NFC South over night. But Kirk Cousins might not be available, just as the best quarterbacks in the draft might not be available to Atlanta.
It won’t be simple for any club to wrest Cousins away from Minnesota, who intends to hang onto the veteran quarterback, according to Josh Kendall of The Athletic.
