Luke Williams, the head coach of Swansea City, has shown faith in Ronald’s potential and praised the Brazilian for his influence since joining the team.
The 22-year-old has made a big impression since joining during the January transfer window, most notably with his two goals in the most recent victory over Sunderland.
Ronald, who had spent the previous eighteen months on loan in Portugal with Estrela da Amadora, joined Swansea from Brazilian team Gremio Anapolis.
Williams remarked, “I have been really impressed; he has a great personality and is really brave.”
It’s one thing to be here, but it’s another to embrace it, and he is embracing that. This is a big step for him.
“He has excellent qualities, but because of how he is dedicating himself on the field, it is his personality that is helping him succeed.
“This was the thing that really showed me that he could handle the pressures of the Championship when I watched him play.
“He was facing tough opponents on tough fields.” He confronted the merciless nature of people’s difficulties, as was evident.
“I could tell he was a tough guy with determination when I spoke with him, and we watched a lot of footage of him from the recruitment team.” He still has a lot of work ahead of him, and we can expect more thrilling solo performances.
“He is putting a lot of effort into his work and demonstrating the guts to try and create for his teammates in addition to scoring goals.”
On Wednesday night, Ronald is scheduled to play for the seventh time for his new team when the Swans visit Watford.
