Fichajes reports that AC Milan is eager to bolster their defense in preparation for the upcoming campaign, and the Italian powerhouses have their sights set on Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal. The 24-year-old may decide to leave the Gunners and may try to play in Italy again the following campaign.

After becoming well-known while playing for Spezia Calcio, Kiwior was able to get a €25 million transfer to Arenal during the winter of 2023. He has played in 31 games since joining the North London team, but he hasn’t quite accrued enough playing time.

Despite playing in just 23 games, he has played more than 1,200 minutes of football with the first team. The Polish center back is thinking about leaving the team since he is not very satisfied with his little playing time.

Despite having a contract that extends until 2028, there is a possibility that he may leave at the end of the season. Several clubs in Italy have shown interest in acquiring his services.

AC Milan keen on Kiwior’s signatures

AC Milan has expressed longstanding interest in the player, positioning themselves as the leading contenders in the current scenario. Direct negotiations between AC Milan and Arsenal are underway as both parties aim to finalize a transfer agreement.

AC Milan is reportedly seeking a season-long loan arrangement with an option to buy. However, Arsenal, under Mikel Arteta, is open to the player’s departure but insists on including an obligation to buy in any loan deal.

Ongoing talks are anticipated between the two clubs in the coming weeks as they work towards a potential agreement. The negotiations might involve conditional clauses, paving the way for a permanent transfer next summer if the player meets specific criteria.

AC Milan’s interest in strengthening their defense for the upcoming season is evident, and Kiwior is seen as a valuable addition to their squad. Having previously played in Italy, a return could potentially reignite his form and contribute positively to Milan’s defensive setup.
