A pensioner from Wigan has been before the court to answer to twelve accusations related to past sexual assault.
The same girl, who was between the ages of 11 and 16, is accused of being sexually attacked 12 times between 1993 and 1998 by 72-year-old Rab MacDonald of Broadmead, Parbold.
For legal reasons, the complainant cannot be identified.
Wigan justices moved the matter straight to Preston Crown Court, where MacDonald will make his initial appearance on April 10, due to the gravity and volume of the accusations.
