After a lengthy layoff due to injury, AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has stated that he is feeling well again and has acknowledged his desire to assist the squad following several defensive setbacks.
Milan prevailed 4-2 in the first leg, but the result does not even begin to describe the action from the game at San Siro, which left more questions than answers on Milan’s potential as a top contender for the Europa League.
Milan’s goals came from Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, Tijjani Reijnders, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. However, Slavia played with 10 men for the entire 70 minutes and scored twice while down a man, making the score 3-2 in the second half and 1-1 in the first.
Head coach of Slavia Jindrich Trpisovsky declared at halftime that his team will defeat Milan in the second leg. Given their performance the previous week, this confidence is justified, but it may have made Pioli’s team talk simpler.
MilanNews has obtained Tomori’s remarks during his pre-game press conference at the Fortuna Arena, where he was joined by head coach Stefano Pioli.
