Breaking News :Men arrested at Wigan hotel for attacking 999 staff and criminal damage

A guy is being questioned about alleged assaults on 999 employees and destruction at a hotel in Wigan’s downtown.
Late on Saturday, March 16, a big police presence was seen at the Premier Inn on Harrogate Street after staff members called for emergency assistance.

People on the street counted six patrol cars and two vans at the old Wigan Police Headquarters.

“Officers were called at around 11.30pm to reports of a violent guest at a hotel on Harrogate Street,” a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson stated.

“A 40-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and two counts of assault of an emergency worker.”He is still being questioned by police.
